Phases Terms of Service

Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Phases, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create a Phases account. By signing up you confirm that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 16, do not use the service. Parents or guardians who believe a child under 16 has created an account can reach us on our Discord and we will delete it.

The Service

Phases lets you capture progress photos (stored on your device, with optional Google Drive backup & sync) and generate face-aligned timelapses in your browser. The service is provided free of charge and may change or be discontinued at any time.

Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information when you sign up, and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

Your Content

Photos and videos you capture are stored in your own Google Drive. You own your content. Phases never claims ownership of your photos, videos, or other materials. We only store metadata (such as category, capture date, and Drive file IDs) needed to run the gallery and timelapse features.

Phases Pro and Billing

Phases is free to use. Phases Pro is an optional paid upgrade that unlocks two things: exporting video in 1080p and 4K, and removing the watermark from your films. That is the whole list. Everything else stays free.

You buy Pro through the app store on your device: Google Play on Android, the App Store on iOS. The store is the merchant of record. It takes your payment, issues the receipt, and sets the price you see. Phases does not handle your card or take your money directly.

Pro comes in monthly, yearly, and lifetime plans. Monthly and yearly are subscriptions: they renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel them. Lifetime is a single one-time purchase, not a subscription, and does not renew. We do not list prices here because they change; the store shows you the current price before you buy.

To cancel a subscription, manage it in your store account, not in the app. On Android that is Google Play subscriptions; on iOS it is your Apple ID subscription settings. Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Refunds are handled by your store under its own refund policy, not by Phases. Request a refund through Google Play or the App Store.

When Pro ends, the features it unlocked lock again: exports drop back to the free resolutions and the watermark returns. Your photos are untouched. Cancelling Pro never deletes your photos or videos, whether they live on your device or in your own Google Drive.

Acceptable Use

Use Phases only for lawful personal progress tracking. Do not abuse the service, attempt to disrupt it, access other users' data, or use it in any way that violates applicable law.

Disclaimer

Phases is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Phases and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, photos, or profits, arising from your use of the service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Phases after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
